Aliza grew up in New York City surrounded by music and art. Her mother is an artist, and her father was an executive in the music industry. They have three children who were raised in Brookline. Their eldest son graduated from Brookline High School in 2008, their daughter in 2017, and youngest in 2019. She is an active member of the Brookline community including the local Brookline food pantry, Brookline Democratic committee, amongst other philanthropic causes. Most recently she volunteered at the Hebrew Senior Housing in Brookline, assisting quarantined elderly during COVID by delivering mail, food, and much-needed medicine and medical supplies.
