Broadway Coop in Teele Square Rental (Shared Housing)

We are looking for one housemate to join us in our sweet 5-person co-op in Teele Square (near Davis Square in Somerville) starting Jan. 1, 2025. We are building a safe and comfortable home, rich with fun, silly and supportive housemates, welcoming to... the communities of everyone who lives with us, cooperatively making and sharing meals, hanging out together. Looking for one room to be filled for a Jan. 1, 2025 start in an inclusive & welcoming 5-person co-op (5 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the second floor of a duplex)
In-house laundry, street parking, sweet front and back porches, backyard, small front yard, and tiny (but powerful) garden who is looking for enthusiastic caretakers
The house is on a main street a few blocks from the center of Teele Square in West Somerville. There is a small cute park across the street. We are a 10 minute walk from the Davis red line T station, 18 minute walk from the Ball Square green line T station, about 5 min walk to Tufts, and 12 min to the closest public library (Somerville West Branch).

About the room:

The room is spacious and gets a good amount of sunlight. Rent is flexible between $1100-1200 based on ability to pay and a conversation with the housemates.

More house vibes:

We’re a 5-person house occupying the top unit of a two-unit house. There are 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms in the unit. We have a communal grocery system where we split the cost of staples like eggs, flour, or other food that everyone would eat. This allows us to make taste-bud-shattering group meals and eat together as a full house at least once a week (including a weekly meeting to check in on house matters). We keep the meals vegetarian, but are creative. We also share chores & cleaning responsibilities. We sometimes light up the afternoons and evenings with bonfires in the backyard, pizza parties featuring roughly 100 pizzas, and contentious, leave-you-in-stitches games of fishbowl (for the uninitiated, a combination of taboo with charades).

We're fully vaxxed and boosted and are looking for people who also are. We value a culture of direct , empathetic, and open communication!
